I arrived late last night (well late my time) and I was so relieved to be home. Between the delays, yelling toddlers, bad weather, and losing my anti-anxiety medecine for the airplane, I was almost surprised to find myself standing at the Pittsburgh Airport.
First, we flew into Philly which is always a big, “YOU’RE BACK IN THE STATES” experience. First there were the angry, fat travellers and the yelling security people. Then this was combined with hearing from my biz partner about a problem while waiting in the security line, realizing that I was seeing more black people in 5 minutes than I had seen in the past 5 months, and looking wistfully at the Chinese and Mexican food restaurants; I knew that I was definitely back in the USA. And I couldn’t be more happy.
I’ve had a lot of time to be on my own and do what I want. But I’m ready to be around my friends and family. I’m tired of alone time. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in the next couple of weeks.
Hopefully, I will see many of you soon!
